So we have finally joined the ranks of the rest of the bloggers out there thanks to some convincing by a special someone. Thanks Aunt Jill :) 

We have had quite the summer visiting family and friends and welcoming many visitors to our house here in Des Moines.  We got a chance to visit my family in Northwest Iowa and Mike's family in Michigan in July.  They also made their way here quite a few times to visit us...or maybe just Ruby, we're not sure!

With August almost half over already and school right around the corner we are going to squeeze in the Iowa State Fair on Sunday with my parents who are making their way into town tomorrow.  It should be a lot of fun and one final family outing before school starts up for me on Wednesday, August 18.
