It's All in a Day's Work

Looking ahead to the next milestone, the Terrible Two's :), there are still so many things found noteworthy on a daily basis.  Just the other day Ruby felt it was best to read her Parenting magazine seated right behind Mike in his power chair.  Not that it lasted long, but what made her do it in the first place is still a mystery to us.

Isn't this how everyone reads their magazines?

There's the rapidly growing list day by day, as Ruby picks up on new words and enlightens us with her thoughts.  Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.  Here is a quick run down of her most common and a few of our favorites.

Eese=Please
Hank you=Thank you
Mommy
Daddy
Ba-bas=Blueberries
Ck-ck=Cake
No, No, No!=Watch out!  Ruby is telling you what's up :)
Where'd mom o=Where did mom go?
I wan hat=I want that
Cum on=Come on...

We also got wind of our first real winter storm today.  It was about time, although Mike and I really did enjoy the great weather!  Ruby and I got a chance to play outside before supper and find out just what this snow was all about.  She seemed to enjoy it and we are hoping for a good sledding day tomorrow!

Mom, this stuff is kind of cool!

Does it taste good???

What to do when a girl finds out that snow pants, winter coats and swings just don't mesh?  Stand in the swing and pump!

And after a hard days work, unwind with crayons and coloring books.
 Then to top it all off we sent our now "big girl" to bed in her own big girl bed.  Sniff, sniff...yes, the crib has lost a limb and she is down to three sides.  Perhaps we'll find a visitor at our side in the middle of the night or someone scrounging through the refrigerator in the morning looking for breakfast, but it's just one more step in watching our baby girl grow up. Now if we can just conquer potty training as well.  Getting close, but not quite there!
