News Alert!!! Ruby is turning ONE!

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 17, Ruby turns the big one!  We held her party this past weekend with lots of family to help us celebrate!  Family came from Michigan and NW Iowa which was great.  We hadn't seen some family since Thanksgiving or Christmas so it was long over due.  Ruby was a little overwhelmed at first, but soon thoroughly enjoyed running right along with the cousins. 

We started out the night by digging into the presents.  Ruby had quite the pile, but many helping hands (a.k.a. the cousins) were there to help her open them.  All sorts of goodies were uncovered from a talking puppy, a wheelbarrow full of sand toys, and new duds...even jeggings :)

Ruby also got her fair share of attention and went from lap to lap or at least leg to leg looking for mom's and dad's amongst all the new people.  Ruby thought Aunt Missy was pretty cool and hung out with her quite a bit during the party.

 After presents were done, we dug into the meal and ended with cupcakes for everyone!  Ruby got a jumbo cupcake.  I think she was a little surprised at to what in the world was coming her way.  Or maybe it was the candle.  After an off-tune rendition of Happy Birthday, Ruby dug into her cupcake and put on a show for her audience full of cousins and oohing aunts and grandmas.
