Our short week in Minnesota was filled with cool and damp conditions so we did a lot of shopping around and looking for deals and bargains :) Ate at quite a few cute little shops and enjoyed treats at Granny's. Mike had salt water taffy and I enjoyed monster cookie ice cream :)
Mike was able to catch a boat ride with my brother and dad and Ruby got her first glimpse of what a fishing boat and lake consist of. Unfortunetly I was behind on my camera skills and left it in the car or cabin most of the week...bummer :( I did however catch a shot of Uncle Ryan helping Ruby try on her life jacket just in case the waves settled down and she could go for a boat ride.

I also caught one of Ruby on the way home, insisting on holding onto Max's leash (one of her new favorite things to do anywhere, anytime. Boy does Max get confused when his leash is out and no one is taking him for a walk!)
Then after a couple days at home we packed up again and made our way to Michigan to visit with the Poll's and other family friends. We saw a lot of great folks in our week there. Supper with Paul and Jean, get together for Father's day lunch and suppper, dessert at Granny Top's, and a couple days with Mike's brother, Mitch, his wife Kristin, and their little guy Brady.

Saturday: ate supper at Crazy Horse with Grandpa and Grandma Poll and Aunt Missy when we rolled in
Sunday: Lunch with both sets of grandparents for Father's Day, supper with the Poll's at Greg and Kim's house
Monday: Morning at the beach (check out link below), lunch at Russ', and afternoon chilling

Wednesday: Mike and I shopped while grandma babysat, started packing for out next mini-trip Th.

Thursday: left for Portage to visit Mitch, Kristin and Brady
Friday: Garage saled with Kristin, lunch, went on a walk with the kiddos, supper and hanging out. Even snuck in a "tractor" ride with Uncle Mitch and cousin Brady...

Saturday: Packed up one last time for our final leg back home and said goodbye to Mitch, Kristin and Brady
Sunday: Ruby found a potential new friend :) Ok...not really. She sure thought that this butterfly was pretty cool, but the poor thing was wounded and Ruby couldn't help but play with it...
