GO CYCLONES!

This weekend was Ruby's first Iowa State football game!  We were all pretty excited to be back in Ames, since we don't make it there very often anymore and we had great seats!  Mike's former boss at Jack Trice stadium hooked us up with balcony seats of the Jacobson building which gave us a little more room to move around, access to nice bathrooms :) and a chance to catch a few extra sights and sounds of the game.

Before the night game started we did some tailgating with Uncle Ryan and Ms. Amanda.  There Ruby got to catch the football boys coming into the stadium on their bus, quite a few tractor trolley's and her fair share of Pringles and candy corn :)

Then we made our way into Jack Trice and found our seats in the Jacobson building.  Ruby, Mike and I all waited as patiently as Ruby could, for the football boys to come in!

Super excited to catch the football boys as they made their way in.
Finally the football boys came walking through and Ruby got a feel for just how big some of those guys are!  Here's our view as they came in...CLICK HERE
(sure hope that links works....our You Tube video upload has been a little sketchy lately, so I'm sorry if it doesn't)

Once they football boys had made their way onto the field, we settled in on the balcony and enjoyed a beautiful evening for a football game.  The band sandwiched our seats on either side and I truly believe that Ruby is destined to be a drum major.  She copied their every move and made sure to keep an eye on them at all times, especially the tubas :)

Loving game time!

Standing by the fence as close to the band as we could get :)

Ruby made sure to weasel her way to the front as often as possible to get a really good view of the game.  It was Parent's Weekend at Iowa State so it was busy!  Thank goodness people can't resist a blond cutie!
Everything is better under the lights.
Unfortunately the Cyclones lost and it was a bummer, but Ruby could have cared less and was tuckered out by the end of the game.  She jibber-jabbered all the way back to the car about her  time at the football game and we can't wait to take her back again!

Ask Ruby what her favorite part was.  Bet she says, "I shake my bootie outside!"  Yep, this girl's got a little rythym in her :)  Must get that from her father...hehe.
