THANKSgiving!

Thanksgiving has come and gone and it was great as always!  This year we were fortunate enough to have family come our way.  Mike's parents, 2 brothers and their families and future in-laws of Mike's sister, Missy, joined us for Thanksgiving.  Missy's fiance, Ian, put on his chef's hat and deep-fat fried the bird for us, and boy was it yummy!

After a feast for Thanksgiving supper with family and kiddos of all sorts, us ladies put on our thinking caps and plotted out our Black Friday shopping mission.  We strategically planned out our stops with times, deals and coupons in tow.  On board was my mother-in-law Tami, sister-in-law Missy, Missy's future mother-in-law Michelle and myself.  A great bunch of ladies pulling an all-nighter finding the "best" deals in town!  Wish I had pictures to capture the moments, but it was 100% shopping and no other funny business :)

Then Friday evening the Grandparents offered us couples a date night out as they babysit the grandkids.  So, Mike and I got a night away for some Christmas shopping and Mexican.

Saturday morning came about quickly as I was stilling trying to catch up on a night of lost sleep, but off Ruby and I went.  Missy had wedding shower that morning in West Des Moines.  It was a cute little party and a great time together with the girls.

Saturday evening we got all the remaining family left in Des Moines together for one more family supper at Red Robin before hitting the hay.  Thank goodness for Sundays as a day of rest as it was much needed for all three of us.  A busy and blessed Thanksgiving weekend with tons of food, family, laughter, and shopping.
